God, I’m Counting On You

I don’t know what you’re planning for us. We have no idea how the next few months will unfold but we’re counting on you to give us the strength and patience we need to get through these trying times.

I don’t know if you will answer our prayers or if you’re still mad at us for the inhumane and immoral ways we’ve adopted all in the name of freedom. I don’t know if you plan on taking us on another ride we weren’t prepared for. I don’t know if you will give us a break or another difficult test.

We have been trying to handle everything in the best and wisest way possible. We’ve been trying to connect all the dots and understand the bigger picture and follow the signs you’ve been sending us but I admit that we’re tired.

With all our technologies and engineering might, our brains seem to be tired now. Our hearts and souls are tired. Tired of the same patterns, same lessons, same roller-coaster. We don’t know what the future holds but I can tell you that we’re ready for things to change, for our lives to finally start making sense, ready for peace and longing for stability.

We know that either way, we’ll be fine. That either way, we’ll count on you. I know that you will guide us through these hard times like you always do but I guess we’re asking for leeway this time. We’re ready for a miracle to lift all the heaviness and all these burdens.

We’re counting on you this time but in a different way. Counting on your generosity. Counting on your forgiveness. Counting on your magnificent surprises. Counting on your mercy.

I don’t know what the future holds but I want it to be brighter and better than what we’d imagined. All those wishes we asked you for, all those impossible dreams we once believed in. we know you have the power turn our lives into this marvelous stories in the making.

I don’t know if that’s how you see it too or if that’s what you want for us but we’re counting on you to turn it all around. To bring these wishes closer. To push this fear, anxiety and pain away.

I don’t know what the future holds but I’m putting my trust in you and I know that you don’t disappoint those who put all their faith in you.

I don’t know what the future holds but all I know is that there’s nothing you can’t do. There’s nothing you can’t fix. And you are the only one who can turn everything around in the blink of an eye.
