Africa as a continent has become a plate of meat being savored by all others. And I believe the Chinese are coming to Africa for the below four (4) reasons;
Reason number one is because China is over populated. In 2022, China alone has over 1.4 billion people in one country. That’s like 18% of the World’s population. So China is looking for unexploited lands where it can send their excess poor people; And Africa seems like a perfect place. That’s the number one reason; we’ve got to reduce the population of China, so we are going to send off all of our unwanted to Africa.
Secondly, China is taking over Africa for business. Can you imagine a better place to go an open up your factories and businesses where you can pay people even less than what you can pay them in China? There is no minimum wage in African countries for foreign businesses. You can exploit African labor better than you can exploit Taiwanese and Vietnamese labors. So this is potentially their second reason in Africa; because guess what? They can keep more of the profit.
Third reason they are in Africa is to take over the resources just like the white men, that’s why they are giving out all these loans. These are not grants. And just to be clear, the monies that China is giving Africa are not grants, they are loans; believe it or not. Like why is China giving a country like Kenya more money than they know Kenya can pay back? The answer is simple, it’s because they don’t want Kenya, or any African country for that matter, to pay back! Because when you look at the contract, guess what it says; “if you default on this loan, all your tea fields are mine; all your copper mines are mine; all your oil reserves are mine”. And guess what? You already have an African nation that has defaulted on the loan, and it’s Zambia. And as a result of the default, China now owns a great percentage of their copper mine.
And the fourth and certainly not the last reason that they are in Africa is to make the African dependent on them culturally, intellectually, educationally and otherwise; because China plans to colonize Africa the same way the white men did. And am hurting by saying this. You know why? Because Patrice Lumumba died for Africa to be free; Thomas Sankare, Steve Biko and many others died for Africa to be liberated. And after all the blood that has been spilt, Momar Gadafi died for Africa to be free. And even after all that blood has been spilt, you mean to tell me sixty years after we kick the white men out, you are going to roll out the red carpet to the Chinese? How is this not slavery all over again?
Oh but it’s different right? Well guess what the Chinese are doing? They add a little twist, targeting African states’ SOVEREIGNTY. They are building military bases and police stations everywhere they set a shop. Djibouti is the first African country that has a Chinese police station. Can I ask you all a question? If you are the president of say “Wakanda”, you are a sovereign nation. And I want to come and do business in your sovereign nation. Can you please tell me why you allow me to bring my own police? I mean you are a sovereign nation, and part of being sovereign means you control the military. But Africa is letting China bring their own police. Let me tell you what I see happening from this arrangement: by the way, the Chinese are as disrespectful in Africa as anywhere in the world. So what’s going to happen is a conflict. Our Africa is going to get disrespected by the Chinese. It’s going to turn into a group conflict and the Chinese military is going to hurt one of our African brother or sister. It is going to turn into a civil war, and China is going to send its whole army in and they will colonize the whole country. They are going to do just like America does; “we’re just making your country safe for democracy!”
So if you ask why are the Chinese taking over Africa? The answer is simple. Because they studied what the white men did and they want to do it better. But hey, this may all be my imaginations at play! Let me know what you think in the comment section below.
Thanks for writing on this important subject. Many don’t see anything wrong with this and it really sadden me. As for me the main important reason why Africa is being taken over is lack of self appreciation. Africa has been blessed with so many resources and yet we are always looking at others as if they have it all. China, Europe, North America, just name it, they have all gone through a lot to build their countries and lots of them without as much natural resources as Africa. Lots of people says Africa is cursed while Africa is blessed. A little bit of love from ourselves African to ourselves and I am sure things will definitely improve and consequently less take over from other continent!!!
